wyntsketchesalot: i have a headcanon that these two wouldn’t get along right off the bat and this scene also sort of goes hand in hand with this one where Boy’s parents see Chris’s drawings and are nothing but “Oh my gosh! You’re so talented!” and encouraging and all around awed and loving at him. And I guess somewhere along the way idk maybe Chris and one of Boy’s parents are just chatting and maybe Chris is helping Boy’s mom with cooking or setting up the table and she asks if Chris cooks or helps or works with his dad a lot and then Chris just shrugs and replies, “My father and I don’t get along. Whenever I’m home I usually just stay in my room.” and maYBE THIS CONCERNS BOY’S MOTHER AND SHE MENTIONS IT TO HOWARD asking him to maybe talk to Kent about it or mention it and Kent just sort if isn’t having a good day when he comes to pick Chris up from Boy’s house or something and just sort of overreacts and thusly you get this scene right here. Ehehehe, Howard likes making friends, but not a lot of people react too well to it, eheh. Chris’s dad is maybe one of them EHEHE. SO I DOODLED IT OUT IN A SHITTY COMIC EHEHEH I’m really glad to see people seem to be as enthused about the kids’ families as they are about the kids themselves. Sorry I keep reblogging so much fanart, but this really inspires me. The comic is still in the works, I promise!
