My third and final year at University started today, and I couldn’t contain my excitement.
It was so great to see everyone again, all my friends, team members, and tutors. We were given a basic induction, and the whole thing was music to my ears. I received some very good news.
Turns out that last year only counted for 20% of our final grade, and this year counts for 80%. I graduated with a 2-1 last year, so if I can get a 1-1 this year, I have a high chance of graduating with a first overall. Very happy about that. I’m going to work my arse off.
Also, it seems we don’t have very many lectures this term (up until Christmas). Whereas last year we’d have about 18-20 hours of lectures per week, this term, we’ll only have about 4, leaving us plenty of time to work on our projects. Perfect. I’ve already arranged a meeting with my team on Monday, where we will be discussing:
Our presentation! The week after next, directors and teams present their project ideas to the rest of the student body and tutors. We have to talk about MB’s plot, goals, successes, and progress, and somehow, we have to condense it all into five minutes.
Well, at least I’ll have more than enough visuals to present.
I managed to catch up with one of my tutors to inform her about MB’s progress over the summer, and her advice was very inspiring. I can’t wait for Monday!
Bring it OOOON.
Also, I think it’s time to seriously start thinking about getting an official website set up for MB. I’m going to make this happen.
